We didn't invite the children, they imposed themselves upon Open Urbanism, and what they produce is mind-blowing, both theoretically and ethically.
Since then, they have been honored guests and ambassadors of our activities, and indeed our third Urban Thinker Campus with UN-Habitat in Geneva in October 2024 will be devoted to what children and young people can teach us in terms of fertile cooperation to replace destructive competition.
Children, and young people in general, provide the instructions for putting the pieces of our disintegrating societies back together again, and they make it possible to relaunch democracy at its roots by the way they are when we listen to them and take them seriously; welcome to imagination, empathy, the fight against injustice, creativity, energy, friendship and vitality...
